Samsung Lists Out Devices That Will Get Android 4.1 Update
Samsung reveals a list of devices that will be getting the Android 4.1 update.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is among the list of devices that will be updated to Jelly Bean soon.
Samsung today unveiled a list of smartphones and tablets that will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The devices include:
- Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)
- Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)
- Galaxy Note 10.1
- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
- Galaxy S II
- Galaxy S II (LTE)
- Galaxy Note
- Galaxy S Advance
- Galaxy Ace 2
- Galaxy Beam
- Galaxy Ace Plus
- Galaxy Mini II
- Galaxy S DUOS
- Galaxy Music
- Galaxy Chat
It's odd that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is left out of the list even though it is one of the more powerful Samsung slates in its portfolio. The ageing Galaxy Tab 10.1 is also absent from the list.
While there is no specific time frame as to when the update will be arriving, the Korean company stated that it is "coming soon". Samsung Singapore has recently confirmed that the Galaxy S III will be updated to Jelly Bean in October. At point of publication, there are reports of Galaxy S III users in Europe receiving the Android 4.1 update.
