Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 is the world's first 2Gbps LTE modem

The Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 LTE modem is the world's first announced CAT 20 LTE modem supporting 2Gbps download speeds.

Just when 1Gbps LTE speeds are coming to Singapore, Qualcomm announced it has started sampling the Snapdragon X24 LTE modem which is the world's first announced CAT 20 LTE modem supporting up to 2Gbps download speeds. The Snapdragon X24 LTE modem is also the first announced chip to be built on a 7nm FinFET process. 

The Snapdragon X24 supports up to 7x carrier aggregation in the downlink, as well as 4x4 MIMO on up to 5 aggregated LTE carriers for a total of up to 20 concurrent spatial LTE streams.

The Snapdragon X24 LTE modem will be featured in a live demonstration at Mobile World Congress 2018. The first commercial devices with the X24 LTE modem are expected to arrive at the end of the year.
