Project leader for Apple Car is leaving the company after 16 years in service
The Wall Street Journal learns from its sources that the project leader for Apple Car, Steve Zadesky, is leaving the company after working there for 16 years.

Citing information from people familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal reports that Steve Zadesky is leaving Apple for "personal reasons". Zadesky was an engineer at Ford for three years before he joined Apple in March 1999. At Apple, Zadesky helped and led the teams for the iPod, iPhone and Apple-branded accessory products.
In 2014, he was reportedly given approval to explore ways to enter the electric car market. He was also tasked to increase the size of the team overseeing the Apple Car project and come up with a vision for the automobile.
As a company veteran, Zadesky's departure is likely to affect the Apple Car Project. The company was spotted testing vehicles outfitted with all sorts of cameras and sensors in the street of North California early last year. Two weeks ago, Apple registered three top-level domain names related to its electric car project.
