Nomad's Base Station for Apple Watch could be a good alternative to the AirPower
The Nomad Base Station for Apple Watch can charge both the smartwatch and an iPhone at the same time.
With no news on the arrival of Apple's AirPower wireless charging pad, Nomad aims to fill the void with its Base Station for Apple Watch.
The Base Station for Apple Watch has a aircraft-grade aluminum body with gunmetal gray finish and a padded leather wireless charging surface with 3 Qi-certified coils beneath it with 7.5W output each to provide multiple charging orientations.
Having said that, it can charge up to three devices simultaneously, but the Base Station for Apple Watch is designed to comfortably charge 1 Apple Watch and 1 iPhone at the same time.
While it works with all Qi-enabled devices, but does not charge the Apple Watch or AirPods wirelessly. There is a built-in charger which is designed for the Apple Watch Series 4 and earlier versions.
Nomad is currently selling it at US$119.95 (~S$166). The earliest shipment at the time of publication is 12 November due to high demand. The Base Station for Apple Watch is bundled with a wall charger.
