OFF Line Co. Ltd, launches Photozou English, an online photo-sharing community.

Photozou is the largest social networking photo site in Japan with 7 million registered users, 3.3 million PC users active monthly and 2.3 million smart phone users active monthly, and now it’s coming to you in English.

OFF Line Co. Ltd which owns the site has just launched an English version of the site with translation functions which allow comments about photos and messages written in Japanese to be translated to English, hence making the site more accessible to users from English-speaking regions.

Images can uploaded via email or the website, and the site offers users the option of creating Friend Groups, and also different public and private albums, allowing you to control who gets to view your images. Other than the social aspect, it’s seems like Photozou is quite keen on promoting the works of their users, with event collaborations and live exhibitions of work.

The basic account is free, and there’s a monthly transfer limit of 1-3 GB and maximum photo size limitations, but within those limits it seems there are no restrictions, so it will take images from your smartphone just as easily as it will handle those taken from your DSLR.

Move one level up to "Photozou Plus" service, and you get an ad-free experience with a monthly data transfer limit of 5GB for 500 yen monthly. OFF Line Co. Ltd hopes to partner with Japanese camera makers to run various promotions that take advantage of the social networking aspect of the service, so you may wish to check Photozou out.
