Apple is slowly but surely adding features to Apple Maps and making it better.
The latest iOS 14.5 beta introduces crowdsourced alerts in Apple Maps. According to reports, this feature will allow users to report three different types of incidents – accident, hazard, and speed check.
Users can report these incidents on their own or by using Siri and saying, "Hey Siri, there's an accident."
These options will also appear for CarPlay users.
Apple hasn't commented on this new feature yet. Presumably, this reporting feature will work just like Waze, which has an incident reporting feature that enables its users to keep each other updated on road and driving conditions.
