Huawei finally joins the smart speaker party at IFA 2018 with its AI Cube.

Powered by Alexa, the Huawei AI Cube allows users to play music, control smart home devices and access more than 50,000 skills hands-free with their voices.

The AI Cube also doubles as a 4G router; it requires a 4G SIM card to establish a high speed internet connection at LTE CAT 6 speeds (download speeds of up to 300Mbps). It is compatible with the 802.11ac WiFi standard and is dual-band.

On the audio aspect, the AI Cube has a 400ml sound cavity and an aluminum diaphragm to deliver high quality audio with crystal clear midrange and highs, as well as full, rounded bass. The audio quality is also enhanced by Huawei's proprietary audio solution, Huawei Histen which enriches the smart speaker's set of features by including virtual bass, linear phase equalizer, adaptive gain control, far-field voice recognition.
