Adobe's photo editing suite is not for everyone, especially due to its cost. Fortunately, Google has just made its US$150 Nik Collection desktop photo editing tools available for free. Here's what it can do and where you can get it.

Who doesn't love free software/apps – especially if it comes from Google, who has just turned their US$150 Nik Collection photo editing software into a free download for both Windows and Mac OS users.

The Nik Collection comprises of seven desktop plug-ins – Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro, and Define, each providing users with a unique set of photo editing tools.

For example, with Analog Efex Pro, users will be able to add effects onto their images to make them look and feel as though they were taken with a traditional camera.

You can download the Nik Collection suite at absolutely no cost over here. For those who've purchased it earlier this year, you will automatically be provided with a full refund.
