This is the fridge you're looking for
Are you in the market for a new mini-fridge, love Star Wars and don't mind spending obscene amounts of money on an appliance?
R2-D2 is the droid you're looking for, especially if you're thirsty and need a cold drink.
When you think Star Wars, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Did you think of lightsabers? Starships jumping to lightspeed? Darth Vader? Admiral Ackbar?
Whatever it is, we're betting that a fridge is the furthest thing that comes to mind. Somehow, somebody at Aqua associated Star Wars (particularly R2-D2) with a fridge and the result is what you can see in the image above. Other than its innards not containing Kenny Baker, the 1:1 scale R2-D2 fridge is remarkably accurate to its screen counterpart. Take a look at the video and see for yourself.

It moves via remote control, has the appropriate lights and sound, the dome rotates and best of all, it even has a built-in projector which projects in 720p via Android's Miracast. The only thing missing is a secret compartment to store a lightsaber in!
You can pre-order the fridge now from Tokyo Otaku Mode but be warned, it's retailing for ¥998,000. That's about $11,605 without shipping and import fees.
If that's too much but you're still dead set on having a Star Wars fridge, Walmart has something that might interest you that is easier on the wallet.
It might not be as fancy as the R2-D2 fridge, but at least it keeps your drinks cold.
Walmart dubs it the Han Solo Fridge and it's bundled with a deluxe edition of Star Wars Battlefront for the PS4 for US$129.98 ( ~$182). It might not be as fancy as the R2-D2 fridge, about at least it still keeps your drinks cool.
