Experimental Mozilla Junior Browser for iOS
In a video presentation, Mozilla shows off an experimental build of their iOS web browser. Called Junior, the product aims to provide users with the Firefox experience on Apple mobile devices.

With the browser wars being fought over ever thinning margins, the battle has been intensifying. Google Chrome recently took over top spot from Internet Explorer. But now, Mozilla is going to make a bid for top spot with the introduction of Junior, an experimental browser for the iPhone and iPad.
Due to Apple's walled garden philosophy, Mozilla will be unable to port their popular Firefox browser directly and will also not be using their Gecko HTML rendering engine. Instead they will be building Junior using the WebKit HTML rendering engine, made available by Apple to application developers. Seeing that desktop and notebook users already have they favorite browser customized and set up according to their preferences, the mobile space still represents an area where gains can be made. No browser can yet make a worthy claim of dominating the smart device browser platform.
A fully functioning version of Firefox is already available for Android. We will have to wait and see how similar in use and implementation Junior is to Firefox once it has been released.
