Devialet launches second-generation true wireless earbuds — the Devialet Gemini II

Devialet has taken its true wireless earbuds further with a new Devialet Gemini II, now touting new technologies to propagate its signature sound further.

The Devialet Gemini II now offers Devialet Adaptive Noise Cancellation, which takes its old ANC up one notch. This time around, the earbuds dynamically adjust to your ear shape for reduced audio artefacts and white noise, all while helping to improve battery life. 

Like before, the noise cancellation component is still powered by its proprietary IDC (internal delay compensation), using a mix of dual microphones and digital filters.

Another new technology added to the Devialet Gemini II is Active Wind Reduction (AWR). It reduces wind impact on your listening with its mix of anti-wind material embedding each microphone, on top of a cavity shield on the microphone membrane. 

Topping AWR off is Devialet’s very own wind detection algorithms to help its Adaptive Noise Cancellation and Transparency modes along.

Also new to the Gemini II are re-engineered voice call architecture for clearer phone conversations, made possible with a new bone-conduction sensor and beamforming microphones.

Gemini II uses 10mm titanium-coated drivers and is compatible with Qualcomm’s aptX codec. Devialet also updated it to support Bluetooth 5.2, multipoint connection, IPX4 water resistance, and an app for extra customisation. The French audio company claims five hours of playback on a single charge, and an additional 22 hours packed away in its charging case.

The Devialet Gemini II officially retails at S$629 in Matte Black and Iconic White, with an Opéra de Paris edition at S$929 featuring 24-carat gold plating. It’s found on Devialet’s website and in stores around Singapore.
