Coach teams up with Michael B. Jordan for Naruto capsule collection
*inhales deeply*...SASUKE!!!
First off, hands up if you knew Michael B. Jordan was an avid Naruto fan. It's fine if you don't – I didn't either, at least until now.
Created in partnership with VIZ Media, and of course MBJ himself, the limited-time collection fuses Coach's unique craftsmanship with iconic motifs and inspiration from the beloved anime series. Fans (and probably most of the internet) will easily recognise the Uchiha clan's trademark Sharingan on many of the products, as well as in the new hero film starring MBJ.

Set in a neon-drenched Tokyo street, the video takes a look at Jordan's own work to encourage unique perspectives and building bridges, which is thematically similar to how Naruto gradually earns the Leaf Village's respect through hard work and dedication.
This is also Jordan's first time dabbling in a fashion line. That said, he's not flying solo and has credited Coach's Creative Director Stuart Vevers for being an integral part of this first foray into unfamiliar territory.
"With my name on this collection, it was important to design pieces that represent my cultural influences and my community; pieces that I could see my friends, family, and fans wearing with pride,” said Jordan. “As with all aspects of my work, this collection is about bringing fresh perspectives and unique voices to the forefront. Expanding into the fashion design space was rewarding beyond my expectations. I’m grateful to Stuart and Coach for providing me with the opportunity and expertise to execute a collection I’m extremely proud of.”
You've got to hand it to the guy – he's literally wearing his heart on his sleeve. It can be yours as well starting from 3 October at Wisma Atria and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
For our foreign friends, Coach is having pop-ups in Japan, Malaysia, and the United States for the collection as well. On top of that, a one-of-a-kind Coach experience will also be available at the VIZ Media booth at the New York Comic-Con from 3 to 6 October.
