Belkin unveils Qi2 wireless chargers and 140W GaN charger at IFA 2023

Belkin just announced two new Qi2 wireless chargers and a 140W 4-port GaN wall charger at IFA 2023. 

The BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with Qi2 offers 15W charging for Qi2-enabled devices and 5W for other Qi-enabled devices. The USB-C port enables a dongle attachment for fast charging newer Apple Watch models.

It will be available later this year for purchase on Belkin's website and in select retailers worldwide.

The BoostCharge Convertible Qi2 Wireless Pad to Stand is perfect for consumers who are always on the go. The convertible design allows you to switch between a charging pad and a charging stand for different use cases such as FaceTime or travel.

Similar to the 3-in-1 wireless charging pad with Qi2, it can charge up to 15W for Qi2-enabled devices. It will be available from Q1 2024 on Belkin's website and select retailers worldwide.

The new Qi2 standard is built on Apple's MagSafe technology and aims to be the single global standard. It ensures phones and other rechargeable battery-powered devices are perfectly aligned with charging devices, therefore delivering better energy efficiency and faster charging.

Furthermore, Qi2 allows third-party accessory makers to develop more affordable wireless charging solutions as there is no longer a need to license technology from Apple.

The BoostCharge Pro 140W 4-port GaN wall charger comes with three USB-C PD ports and a single USB-A port.

Belkin says it can charge a MacBook Pro at full speed or fast-charge an iPhone and iPad while charging two additional devices simultaneously with 140W of total power.

The wall charger also comes with interchangeable tips for UK, UK and EU plug types, making it compact and travel-ready. It is now available for purchase on Belkin's website and in select retailers worldwide.
