Bayonetta developer Platinum Games announces partnership with Tencent

Platinum Games, best known as the developers of Bayonetta as well as the critically acclaimed Nier: Automata, has recently announced that they will be entering a partnership with Tencent.

For those who are unaware, Tencent is the biggest gaming company in the world and has its hands in Epic Games, Blizzard Activision, Riot Games, Ubisoft, and even Paradox Interactive. 

Platinum Games have assured that despite the partnership, it will still retain its autonomy and will be keeping its existing corporate structure. Platinum Games president and CEO Kenichi Sato went on to state that the company will use the capital from Tencent to explore self-publishing as well as to achieve a larger global perspective with more games that represent the spirit of Platinum Games.
