Apple has announced that it is now 100 percent powered by clean energy around the world. This means that Apple’s retail stores, offices, and data centers in 43 countries are all running on green energy.

Apple has 25 renewable energy projects around the world. These projects have a diverse range of power sources, including solar arrays, wind farms. It even includes emerging green energy sources like biogas fuel cells.

Apple’s renewable energy projects include Apple Park, which is powered by renewable energy from multiple sources. That includes a 17-megawatt onsite rooftop solar installation. The building even gives clean energy to the public grid during periods of low use.

In Singapore, Apple has partnered with Sunseap to power its facilities here using solar power. Apple was the first company in Singapore to rely entirely on solar power. Sunseap is also supplying solar power to Microsoft Singapore’s data centres and Jurong residents through StarHub.

Apple also announced that nine more manufacturing partners have committed to power their production for Apple with clean energy. That brings the total number of supplier commitments to 23. These include companies like ECCO Leather, which produces leather for Apple, and Quanta Computer, a Mac supplier.
