After three years of development, Funan Mall will finally be back in business on June 28. With 184 tenants that range from new-to-market and new concept to familiar homegrown and returning brands over 12 floors (10 overground and two underground), the revamped complex, which exists alongside office and residential spaces, is set to shake up the local retail scene.

Made with over 250 tonnes of composite steel and coming in at a towering height of 25 meters, the Tree Of Life symbolizes the creative dynamism and the fostering of curiosity in the retail space. Spanning from basement 2 to level 4, it holds 20 retail pods for both established and emerging brands to showcase their products.

Another eye-catching feature is the multimedia art installation, Kinetic Wall. Constructed with 1,271 specially designed motorized light blades mounted on 13- by 9-meter aluminum panels, it can display animated content, besides the usual date and time display. The Wall is also complemented with a mirrored ceiling.

The 7th floor Food Garden is helmed by the Edible Garden City, a local company that champions local grow-your-own-food movement. The 5,000 sq ft farm will play host to a variety of edible fruits and vegetables. In addition, the rest of the floor will also contain a mushroom growing chamber as well as aeroponics technology. The farm is open for public viewing. Spa Esprit’s first Japanese restaurant, Noka will use these produce in their dishes for farm-to-table dining experience.

There's a 200-meter cycling path across the first level, with the Bicycle Hub located at the building's rear. The hub contains shower cabins and lockers alongside its 166 bicycle bays and a bicycle repair and pump station. The mall will still be safe for non-cyclists as cycling path users need to follow certain safety regulations; built-in speed regulating strips deter speeding.

Funan Mall will be home to stores like Brompton Junction, the British bicycle manufacturer's Southeast Asia flagship store, and Dyson's first standalone and beauty-only concept store. Golden Village will be featuring two new seating concepts — Deluxe Plus and Gold Class Express — to their latest seven-screen multiplex, while FairPrice Finest will allow customers to shop and pay through their mobile.

7/10

Xiaomi will be opening its largest Mi Store in Singapore at Funan Mall. It occupies a total floor area of almost 188 square meters (about the size of three, 3-room HDB flats) and is open daily from 11am to 9pm.

8/10

This space will also serve as a service center for Xiaomi so shoppers can purchase their products with absolute peace of mind.

9/10

Looking for a new gym? The True Group will launch its flagship TFX fitness center and it is its only fitness center in Singapore to have a swimming pool, outdoor deck and smart training systems.

10/10

There's a 24-hour, drive-through collection facility where shoppers can retrieve their store purchases. The mall never sleeps, always there to satisfy your shopping needs!
