In pictures: The very big, very open, very orangey Shopee Building

Shopee has moved its office yet again.

The new regional HQ is now at Kent Ridge, in this 6-storey building called...the Shopee Building.

The new Shopee office spans 244,000 sq ft over 6 floors.

There's an internal staircase that connects all 6 floors. Other than offering a quicker access (if you don't want to wait for the lift), Shopee says this enhances inter-department collaboration opportunities.

Most of the fun stuff are on the first floor, including an entertainment corner with pool tables, foosball tables and ping pong table.

And what do we've here?

A 3,000 sq ft gym with tons of fitness equipment, including 20 treadmills — that's what!

Oh my, there's even a massage room with in-house masseuses!

It's not unlimited, though: each employee can only do a maximum of two massages a month.

The Shopee Building boasts many collaborative spaces.

While there are coffee tables and creative chairs for quick catch-ups with colleagues, there are also meeting rooms of different sizes for group discussions.

This is another area Shopee employees can come to, either for discussions or just to work away from their assigned desk.

Shopee says that all employees, regardless of department or seniority, work together in a shared open-concept space.

Senior management do have their own offices, but I'm told they're made entirely out of glass to communicate transparency and openness.

Work too hard and need a quick recharge? Employees can take a power nap at one of the eight nap pods located on every level.

Say, what do we've here?

These little "phone booths" are for employees who need a quiet space to do Skype calls. For a moment, I thought they're karaoke rooms.

With space enough to accommodate 3,000 employees (1,500 currently), you can be sure the cafeteria is big too.

The cafeteria hosts Monday morning breakfasts for staff as well as daily dinners on order request. In short, there are no full-time chefs here; instead, there's an internal app that Shopee employees use to order their dinner.

Okay, there's nothing special about these kitchen cabinets. I just wanted to point out that orange is one colour that will make people go hungry.
