The Xiaomi Mi 5 actually ships in two distinct variants - Mi 5 and the Mi 5 Pro.
The main difference is that the Mi 5 sports an all-glass back, while the Mi 5 Pro uses a ceramic back that's far tougher and requires more production processes to craft its back.

The Mi 5 features a USB Type-C charging port with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0.

The Mi 5 supports dual SIM cards.

Its 1080p display may not be as crisp as a quad HD one, but images are still plenty sharp.

The rear camera uses a Sony IMX298 16-megapixel sensor, and comes with goodies like four-axis optical image stabilization, a sapphire glass lens (sapphire is really tough to scratch), phase detection autofocus, and deep trench isolation (DTI) technology.
As seen from the back of the phone, there's no unsightly camera bump to contend with here.
