Country CEO of Courts Singapore, Ben Tan, stands in front of the new smart home-themed store at Funan Mall. The store marks the first time Courts has dedicated a retail outlet to IoT, smart devices, and the latest AI and voice-control tech, where around 80 per cent of its offerings are smart home-compatible.
The Funan outlet spans nearly 12,400 square feet and features areas dedicated to brands like Google, LG, Microsoft, Samsung, and Sony. It also boasts home lifestyle brands like Dyson and SMEG.
There's an area near the entrance carved out for Google's smart home offerings, including the Google Home, Home Mini, Chromecasts, and Pixel smartphones. This experience zone is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, and you'll also find the new Google Nest Hub on display here.
Courts at Funan also plays host to the largest Samsung Smart Home experience zone in Singapore. Modeled after a modern smart home, the retail concept features a door with a smart lock, living room and study areas, and even a kitchen. You can head over here to find out how the different smart devices could work in your own home.
The kitchen area features a Family Hub refrigerator and QuickDrive washing machine, both of which can be controlled using the Samsung SmartThings app.
Homegrown company GT Robot Technology will also display its range of AI Buddies, known as WoBo, at Courts Funan. WoBo is a robot companion for kids that can converse in 13 different languages and supports face and voice recognition features. For a limited launch period, a robotic sales assistant will also make a special appearance at the store and help you with questions and directions.
WoBo will retail at S$2,288 exclusively at Courts. The first 50 sets will go at a discounted price of S$1,288.
LG has a pretty big presence here as well, and you can check out its latest range of OLED TVs at the store.
There's an entire space for Dyson vacuum cleaners, fans, and hair dryers.
Brands like ASUS also get their own dedicated space to display their latest hardware.
You can check out the store for yourself when it opens to the public on 27 June at 11.30AM. There are a range of opening promotions to be had. Five winners stand to win a WoBo robot each with a minimum spend of S$100, and you'll also get a free Google Pixel 3A smartphone with a minimum purchase of S$5,999.
