ADATA's Booth
ADATA's business revolves around flash memory, from USB flash drives to solid-state drives.
One of ADATA's newest product is this USB 3.0 16GB flash drive.
ADATA's latest gaming series memory module is rated at DDR3 2133 (CL9) and is available in kits of 6GB and 12GB. It's also sold in pairs of 4GB and 8GB.
If gaming on a notebook is your cup of tea, this gaming SODIMM from ADATA aims to surprise you with its competitive, DDR3 1600 frequency.
ADATA's latest SSD, its S511 series comes in capacities of 60, 120, 240 and 480GB. It uses the newest SandForce controller, the SF-2000 series.
This ADATA SH14 is a rugged USB 3.0 external HDD, with shock and water resistance, with a maximum capacity of 750GB. It passes US military class drop test.
Apacer's Booth
Apacer is another manufacturer which is mostly focused on memory products.
Apacer's Giant II series DDR3 memory is rated at 2133MHz, with a latency of 9-9-24, CL7.
Nothing screams enthusiasts like these heatsinks on Apacer's Ares series. These 4GB memory modules are rated at DDR3 2200MHz with a latency of 11-9-27 and CL9.
Even card readers are going USB 3.0. We are definitely way behind the trend...
This Apacer AH552 USB 3.0 flash drive has up to 110MB/s in read speed and 70MB/s in write. It's available in either 32 and 64GB capacities.
Apacer's top SSD is this Turbo II series AS610 drive which is rated at a sustained read performance of 550MB and a read speed of 520MB/s. It comes in sizes of 120, 240 and 480GB.
Cooler Master's Booth
Cooler Master had a decently sized presence at Computex, no doubt thanks to its wide range of products. In fact, Cooler Master had a meeting room where some of its upcoming products were kept from public view. We weren't allowed to take pictures, but we can say that there will be a new CM Storm chassis, Trooper coming soon in Q3. There will also be a sequel to Cooler Master's Cosmo and we can tell you it will be as huge as its predecessor.
Cooler Master is introducing a new feature known as Silent Pro Hybrid on an upcoming line of PSU. These PSUs will have an external module where users can control the fan speed on the PSU manually, or even turn it off. Of course this only applies when 200W of power or less is being drawn.
Yup, the Silent Pro Hybrid PSU can go completely fanless. Together with other Cooler Master technologies like Heat Transfer technology, Hyper Path and Hybrid Transformer, it makes for 80 PLUS Gold rating.
This Projet S600 CPU cooler has six heatpipes and aluminum fins. It supports all the existing AMD and Intel processors. It comes with a PWM fan that spins between 600 and 1600RPM.
Known as Project A-L2, this is an upcoming liquid-cooling kit from Cooler Master for AMD and Intel processors.
The NotePal Infinite EVO is made from aluminum, plastic and rubber and supports up to 17-inch notebooks. It has two blower fans that spin from 750 to 1400RPM. It also comes with three USB ports and uses a mini-USB port for power.
Cooler Master's Silencio 550 is a new chassis that's designed to be quiet. It has two 800RPM fans and soundproofing side panels.
As you can see, the Silencio has a front door that's padded to keep your PC system noise within. It also serves to hide the unsightly drive bays.
This is an AMD edition of the CM Storm Enforcer, hence the black and red vibe. It has four 5.25-inch drive bays and 6 hidden 3.5-inch drive bays. It comes with two internal USB 3.0 ports.
The CM Storm Sirus gaming headset provides 5.1 surround sound and has an external control.
A new gaming mechanical keyboard using Cherry switches, the CM Storm Trigger, has red backlit lighting and has 5 fully programmable macro keys.
Enermax's Booth
Enermax's high efficiency and high output PSU are the main focus at its booth, though we spotted other products, including an upcoming gaming keyboard.
Enermax is demonstrating how its Platimax 1200W PSU is able to power two separate, fully loaded systems. It's also rated at 95% maximum efficiency and comes with modular cable management options.
As evidence, Enermax displayed the total power draw of the two demo systems, which added up to 1800W, showing its maximum power output.
The Hoplite features two bottom hot-swap drive bays and has an option for two USB 3.0 ports. Front LED fan with speed and light control helps to jazz things up.
The full tower Fulmo GT comes with a hot-swap dock and USB 3.0 ports. It has 10 expansion slots for quad SLI/CrossFireX and support for up to 14 HDD.
There is sufficient space for two processors (using EVGA Classified motherboard) on the Fulmo GT.
Enermax's patented circular type LED fan that produces five times the brightness of other LED fans. There are 14 switchable modes with its Blue, Red and Green combo LED while the fan has PWM speed control.
The KB01X is an upcoming mechanical keyboard for gamers. It uses the popular Cherry MX switch.
G.Skill's Booth
G.Skill targets the enthusiast for its memory and flash products, which was why they had overclocking activities at its booth when we dropped by.
Recognize him? It's none other than well-known overclocker, Shamino. A bunch of other equally notable overclockers, like Coolaler and Fredyama, will also be doing some overclocking at G.Skill's booth.
With a SandForce SF-2200 controller, this G.Skill SSD can produce up to 550MB/s in read speed and 510 in write.
This RipJaws X Series of DDR3 memory go up to 2133MHz DDR with a latency of CL9-11-9-28.
A lower voltage 1.5V version of the RipJaws X, the memory frequency is also slightly lower at DDR3 1866 with a latency of CL9-10-9-28.
G.Skill's Flare series go up to 2133MHz @1.65V with a latency of CL9-11-9-28.
G.Skill also showed off a system with 48GB of total memory, thanks to the EVGA Classified SR-2 board. Here are 12 DIMMs of DDR3 2000MHz memory with a relatively low latency of CL8-9-8-24.
Promise's Booth
Promise Technology had both corporate and consumer solutions, though the corporate stuff heavily outweighed the few consumer storage products.
This 6-bay Pegasus RAID enclosure supports up to six SATA 7200RPM HDD. But we noticed it because it's one of the first products we have seen that support Intel's ThunderBolt technology (2 ports available). Naturally, it's compatible with Mac OS X and Time Machine, since only Apple has implemented ThunderBolt so far.
We also saw this SmartStor NAS that comes with up to four hot swappable SATA drives. It has a web-based client interface and supports streaming via DLNA.

QNAP's Booth
QNAP is another storage solution vendor which does have a few NAS products for home users.
The QNAP TS-219P+ supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives. It has Gigabit LAN and is powered by an Intel Atom processor at 1.6GHz with 512MB of memory. It supports streaming to both iOS and Android devices.
The TS-412 is a 4-bay NAS with advanced backup features like scheduled backup and support for Apple Time Machine. It also supports streaming to iOS and Android devices. A 1.2GHz processor and 256MB of RAM help to keep its power consumption low.
QNAP's network media player supports full HD video playback for multiple media formats, including subtitles. It can access internet services like Picasa, Flickr and online music streaming services. Users can even start P2P downloads through Bittorrent without the need for a PC.
A new product from QNAP, these mobile routers can create a portable Wi-Fi or 3G wireless hotspot for your other devices.
SilverStone's Booth
We checked out SilverStone's booth to find out what new chassis will be making their mark in the market soon.
This is the Raven 3, which has an unique mounting system where the rear I/O panel is actually found at the top, making it easy to install and connect ports. According to SilverStone is less deep than the 2nd version while still accommodating extended ATX boards and long graphics cards of 13-inch and more.
Here are the cables neatly organized out of necessity, more than choice.
The TJ08-E comes with an aluminum front and steel body. It uses a large 180mm fan with removable filters. USB 3.0 ports are also found at the front panel.
The internals of the TJ08-E. The PSU is isolated from the rest in its shroud and the chassis is deep enough to fit long graphics cards in a dual-GPU configuration.
The SG08 supports mini-ITX boards and while it seems like a small form factor chassis, it will surprise you with what it can hold.
For instance, one can install a full sized graphics card within.
The PS06 has a plastic and mesh front panel along with a steel frame. It has blue trimmings that break the monotony of SilverStone's usual blacks.
This monster of a chassis is the TJ12 and it can support up to six graphics cards, not that we can imagine such a scenario that is. It has a similar mounting system as the Raven with the expansion cards 'hanging' from the chassis.
A mainstream HTPC enclosure, the Grandia GD08 has two external 5.25-inch drive bays and 8 internal 3.5-inch drives. Up to seven system fans can be installed for cooling.
Strontium's Booth
Strontium should be familiar to locals, since its head office is based in Singapore. However, its memory products may not be a household name yet.
4GB DDR3 2000MHz enthusiast oriented memory from Strontium. They are rated at 9-9-9-24, 2N and runs at 1.65V.
This SATA 6Gbps SSD uses a Marvell 88SS9174-BLD2 controller and has a maximum sequential read speed of 415Mbps and a sequential write speed of 175Mbps. It's available with a capacity of 120GB and has a 3-year warranty.
These 32GB flash drives are USB 3.0 compliant and comes with 5-year warranties. Capacities range from 2GB to 256GB.
Synology's Booth
Those who have considered buying a NAS for the home or small business may have heard of Synology.
Synology's newest slim NAS, the DiskStation DS411 has won a Best Choice award at Computex 2011.
As you can tell, it's a 4-bay NAS (2.5-inch drives) with a 1.6GHz processor and 256MB of RAM. There are two USB ports and one eSATA port.
Some of the popular NAS models from Synology for the home and small office users. They are usually 2-bay or 4-bay models with a processor speed between 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz.
