Acer's Booth
Priced at $249 for the first 100 units only, the Acer AL1716 has a good response time of 8ms and a high contrast ratio of 500:1. Definitely worth rushing down for.
The label says its all: $288 for the early birds that catch the worm, in this case, the Acer AL1916W widescreen LCD monitor.
The Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi is going for $2398 and for that price, you'll get a Core Duo T2300E processor and 512MB of DDR2 RAM. Acer will also throw in for free a 1GB SD card.
Now here's a notebook for the extreme of budget shoppers. At an unbelievable price of $958, you'll be getting a full notebook that's capable of wireless Internet browsing, daily office work and elementary multimedia entertainment.
ASUS' Booth
More free gifts are in store for anyone who purchase the $2298 ASUS A8J notebook. Highlights include a free upgrade to 1GB of RAM and a 100GB hard drive.
A desktop replacement notebook more than capable of handling all the latest games, the ASUS F3J is equipped with NVIDIA's GeForce GO 7600 with 512MB of dedicated memory. Also included is 1.5GB of system memory at an attractive price of $2898.
Now where have we seen this display before? Seems like ASUS is still touting its leather bound S6 series of notebooks, which we first saw at the PC Show earlier this year.
A fashion statement as well as a very portable Centrino Duo notebook, the ASUS S6F costs a cool $3888 and comes with freebies including a matching carrier and optical mouse, extra battery and a Canon printer.
ASUS was giving out Wireless LAN PCMCIA cards at its booth. Grab it while stocks lasts! Demand must be poor since most notebooks now have built-in wireless courtesy of Intel's Centrino platform based notebooks.
Audio Technica's Booth
Walk over to the booth of Audio Technica for earphones/headphones that are purposefully designed to be out of this world. Shown above is the ATH-EC700 that's going for a special COMEX price of $175 (U.P $234).
Yes, you guessed right; the $192 ATH-EM9D has its design drawn from disc brakes.
You really can't go wrong with the $84 ATH-ES5 if you want to be different from your peers.
BenQ's Booth
Prices of 17-inch LCD monitors have been falling steadily so it's no surprise that the BenQ FP71G+ is only $259. But don't keep waiting as we have industry news saying these low prices are not going to last long. So buy now or weep.
20-inch widescreen LCD monitors are the popular choice nowadays for those needing larger screens and BenQ's FP202W is found at a competitive $599. There are also free gifts worth up to $132 (a Targus notebook case and a DVI cable).
BenQ also has a whole range of DLP projectors available, with prices ranging from $1199 to $3199. The MP610 in particular looks like a great deal at $1199 for a 2000 ANSI lumens projector. Limited to 10 sets per day.
A mammoth screen indeed. This BenQ 37-inch LCD TV is certified HDTV ready and its 16:9 aspect ratio gives a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768. The $2399 price tag looks extremely tempting.
The BenQ S61 Centrino Duo notebook has a 12.1-inch widescreen display and weighs 1.5kg. Suitable for frequent flyers who should find its 1.83GHz (T2400) processor more than sufficient.
Brother's Booth
Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Okay seriously, there are plenty of good deals for printers and multi-function printers here. After all, they are specialized in this field.
First, let's talk about the price�
Providing good value, the 4-in-1 multifunction Brother DCP-115C color inkjet is priced at $98 and comes with a three-year warranty.
Print up to 20 pages per minute with the Brother HL-2040, priced at a reasonable $178.
Brother is throwing in a free black ink cartridge and a pack of glossy photo paper worth $45 with every purchase of this 5-in-1 multi-function color inkjet. It now costs $268 instead of the usual $348.
Limited to 1 unit per customer, this 6-in-1 color inkjet is rated as a Best Buy by the vendor. Costing a full hundred bucks less than its usual price, it looks like a good deal.
Canon's Booth
The latest prosumer digital cameras, Canon's IXUS 800IS and PowerShot S3 1S 6.0MP cameras are available at an affordable price of S$699 and S$799 respectively. They also come with a pair of 512MB memory cards, a camera case and other cool freebies to sweeten the deal.
Mean and powerful Canon DSLR cameras are also up for grabs. The EOS 30D with kit lens is available at $2669. Also, do check out the latest EOS 400D which is ready for pre-orders at the show with a retail price of S$1669.
The latest DVD-based camcorder, the Canon DC40, comes with a whopping 4.0-megapixel sensor for capturing high-resolution photo stills. With an overall small body, it's a versatile video and digital camera rolled into one unit and is retailing now for S$1949.
The LV-X6 LCD projector is Canon's star buy item supporting XGA resolution, 1,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 500:1. The price? Only $1599.
Hot buy! The budget-class PIXMA iP1700 compact photo printer for home usage costs only $99.
The PIXMA MP530 high performance business AIO has the ability to print up to 19 color pages per minute, scan at resolutions up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, copy at close to 30 pages per minute, has built-in fax functionality and a 30-page auto duplex auto document feeder for batch copy/scan/fax needs. All this going for $399 only.
Casio's Booth
The recently announced EXILIM EX-S770 that has the ability to read Office documents and the EX-Z700 7.0MP cameras are available at Casio's booth with a retail price of $699 and $599 respectively. It comes with a host of cool freebies including a Samsonite bag and more.
The super slim XJ-S35/S30 projector comes with an impressive 2,000 ANSI lumens rating and a contrast ratio of 1800:1 !

What would a Singapore IT show be without local giant Creative?
One of Creative's newer offerings, the DiVi CAM 428 looks like a decent if ordinary digicam with a 4.1MP CCD and a maximum video resolution of 640 x 480.
Targeted at audiophiles who require near-perfect noise isolation, there's the Creative Aurvana In-Ear earphones, available at a divine price of $186.
For the professional musician or aspiring producer, the Creative EMU series of digital audio systems promises a complete solution for sound editing and mixing.
Another addition to Creative's vast and ultimately confusing range of MP3 players - the Creative Neeon 2 is available in 1, 2 and 4GB sizes.

A very capable Centrino Duo (1.6GHz, T2050 processor) notebook with 1GB of RAM, the Inspiron 640m is priced attractively at $1349. That's $400 less than usual.
Dell's 3400MP is rated at 1500 ANSI lumens, weighs slightly more than 1kg and priced at $1899.
The powerful multimedia Dell XPS M2010 notebook that we reviewed previously will set you back by more than five grand. No wonder there's an advertisement for interest free loans besides it.
