Display technology has always featured heavily at CES 2024. This is why there's so many new TVs and monitors at the show. And 2024 was different.
Unsurprisingly, TVs and monitors are getting bigger, but they are also getting smarter. Traditional TV powerhouses LG and Samsung are both using AI to improve the viewing experience, by enhancing audio and automatically adjusting colour and contrast.
LG also pushed boundaries this year by unveiling an OLED TV that can turn transparent. Not only does make for a unique viewing experience, it also opens up new possibilities in terms of interior design and home decoration.
On the gaming side of things, the adoption of OLED is well and truly in full swing as more notebooks start offering them as standard. They are getting faster too, with the fastest 16-inch OLED gaming notebooks now dishing out refresh rates as high as 240Hz.
