ASUS ROG unveils new glossy Strix-class 4K WOLED gaming monitors
They’re the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG (try saying that three times fast). Both monitors are set to come out in September.

First revealed at Computex this year, ASUS ROG has announced availability for its two new OLED gaming monitors, the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG. Ignoring that mouthful of a name, the two monitors mostly share the same spec, save for a difference in refresh rate.
ASUS states that the two monitors fulfill a specific gap in the market, claiming them as the first 4K glossy WOLED monitors. This is not to be confused with the newer QD-OLED technology; the monitors we’ve detailed in this list here are QD-OLED and have non-matte finishes.
The two ROG displays utilise ASUS’s proprietary TrueBlack Glossy film, made exclusively for ROG products; the company claims that it provides a 38% reduction in ambient reflections compared to previous glossy WOLED models, and should work particularly well for black hues.
ASUS is pairing the film with its Clear Pixel Edge algorithm designed to remove fringing (or those green and red outlines you might see on the edges of text and fine lines), which tend to be more common on OLED displays.

ASUS has also implemented a Neo Proximity sensor, a new feature it introduced in some of its higher-end ROG monitors. As you might’ve guessed, it detects the proximity of the user to the monitor, dimming the display if the user is determined to have left the desk and waking it when they return, in order to combat burn-in.
Moving on to the more technical bits, the two panels have share a 4K resolution and a 32-inch size. The XG32UCWMG has a native refresh rate of 240Hz, while ASUS has opted for a slightly slower 165Hz on the XG32UCWG’s panel. Both displays have a GtG response time of 0.03ms, however.
The monitors also feature ASUS’s Dual Mode functionality, which downscales the resolution of the display in exchange for a higher refresh rate. In this case, both displays can be switched from 4K to FHD, with their refresh rates doubled to 480Hz for the XG32UCWMG and 330Hz for the XG32UCWG. The toggle switch for Dual Mode can be found just underneath the ROG logo on the front of the displays.
Finally, the two monitors also support Auto KVM for switching between different devices. Ports include two HDMI 2.1, USB-C with 15W power delivery, a headphone jack, and DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC). No DP 2.1, unfortunately.
Pricing and Availability
The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG will both go on sale in mid-September 2025, and will retail for S$1,549 and S$1,349, respectively.
