G-Technology

The G-Drive Mobile Pro SSD is a portable external SSD that supports Thunderbolt 3 and transfer speeds of up to 2,800MB/s. It has a shock-resistant chassis that can survive 3 metre drops and has a 1,000lb crush-proof rating. It is available in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities and it's priced at S$199, S$369, and S$669 respectively.

Power users who want a fast desktop storage solution should check out the G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3. It has two drive-bays and supports Thunderbolt 3. It is available in 8TB (S$919), 12TB (S$1,139), 20TB (S$1,599), and 28TB (S$2,179).

 

LaCie

The LaCie d2 Thunderbolt is a fast external hard disk designed for professionals. Inside sits a Seagate BarraCuda Pro drive that spins at 7,200rpm and offers transfer rates of up to 240MB/s. Performance aside, it also looks stylish. The 6TB model is going for S$509 (U.P S$649). It also comes with a free 1-month subscription of Adobe Creative Cloud.

The LaCie Rugged Thunderbotl USB-C is one of the few rugged USB-C portable hard disk drives available in the market today. It has IP67-rated water resistance and is drop, rain, dust, and crush-resistant. It works with Thunderbolt 3, USB-C, and USB 3.0 devices. The 5TB model is going for S$339 (U.P S$419) and comes with a 3-year resuce data recovery service. It also comes with a free 1-month subscription of Adobe Creative Cloud.

 

QNAP

The QNAP TS-451+ is a NAS designed for power users. It is powered by a quad-core Celeron J1900 processor and features 4 drive bays supporting 3.5-inch form factor drives with SATA 6Gbps connectivity. It can transcode Full-HD videos in real-time for streaming, and can stream vidoes via DLNA, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Bluetooth. You can even run virtual machines with the Virtualisation Station. You can get it with four 3TB drives (12TB) for S$,1238 (U.P. S$1,434) or four 4TB drives for S$1,395 (U.P S$1,534). Every purchase also gets you a $40 voucher.

The QNAP TR-004 is a 4-bay direct-attached storage that is great for anyone who is trying to assemble an inexpensive desktop RAID storage system. It connects via USB-C USB 3.0 and supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and JBOD. It is priced at S$335.

 

Samsung

The Samsung Portable SSD T5 is a compact, stylish, and fast portable external SSD. Available in 250GB (S$109), 500GB (S$139), 1TB (S$289), and 2TB (S$579). The 250GB model comes with a free JBL headphone. The 500GB model comes with a free $10 voucher. The 1TB model gets a $20 voucher. Finally, the 2TB model comes with a free $50 voucher.

The high-end Samsung 970 Pro SSD delivers speeds of up to 3,500MB/s and is available in 512GB and 1TB capacities . They are priced at S$289 (U.P S$319) and S$499 (U.P S$749) respectively. Every purchase of the 1TB model also comes with a S$20 voucher.

The Samsung 970 Evo Plus is one of the company's newer SSDs. It's an update of last year's 970 Evo, and uses Samsung's latest 96-layer TLC NAND. It deliver sequential read and write speeds of 3,500MB/s and 3,300MB/s respectively. It's available in 250GB (S$119), 500GB (S$179), 1TB (S$339), and 2TB (S$749) capacity points. The 250GB drive comes with a free JBL headphone while the 500GB drive comes with a free S$10 voucher. The 1TB and 2TB models come with free S$20 and S$50 vouchers respectively.

SanDisk

The SanDisk SSD Plus is one of the most affordable SSDs you will find at the show. The 120GB version is just S$33, the 240GB version is S$47, the 480GB model is S$85, and finally, the 1TB version is S$185. If your system is still running on a hard disk, this is the best and most cost-effective way to breathe new life into it.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro portable SSD is a pocketable portable external SSD and it connects via the USB 3.1 Gen 2 standard and claims to deliver transfer speeds of up to 1,050MB/s. It's available in 500GB (S$189) and 1TB (S$329) capacities.
