The Mainstream Stylish Troupe: Xperia Neo L, Xperia Miro & Xperia Tipo
The Mainstream Stylish Troupe
Sony Xperia Neo L
Like its predecessor, the Xperia Neo, the Xperia Neo L comes with an ergonomically-curved body, making it easy to hold while calling or handling the phone. The Xperia Neo L gets a screen size upgrade from 3.7 inches to 4.0 inches but gets its camera downgraded from 8.1- to 5.1-megapixel sensor. We see this as a phone for those who are planning to transition to a phone with a mid-sized screen but do not require the high-end specs that usually accompany phones with 4.3- to 4.6-inch screens.

Sony Xperia Miro
Sony today strengthens its Xperia portfolio with two entry-level smartphones, the Xperia Miro and Tipo. At launch, Ola Lilja Molen, the Head of South East Asia Markets reaffirms the company's commitment to manufacturing smartphones. These two devices are aimed squarely at first time smartphone buyers and emerging markets such as Indonesia. Do not discount these Xperia phones as they run on Android 4.0 out of the box, unlike some of its previously announced and higher-end siblings which will ship with Android 2.3.

Sony Xperia Tipo
Similar to the Xperia Miro, the Xperia Tipo is catered for first-time smartphone buyers who are looking for a simple and easy-to-use device. Like the recently announced HTC Desire V, the Xperia Tipo also comes in a dual-SIM edition for users who prefer to switch between SIM cards to save costs depending on the call region. Consumers in Singapore and Malaysia will only be getting the dual-SIM version while Indonesia will get the standard and dual-SIM edition of the Xperia Tipo.
