Lenovo and Logitech Booths

Lenovo's Booth

The Beijing Olympics may be months away but that's not stopping Lenovo from trumpeting its involvement with the biggest sporting event in the world. We bet however that IBM's servers are running the backend in Beijing 2008.

The 14-inch Lenovo G400 is an entry-level model outfitted with an Intel dual core T2080 processor. It also has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB SATA hard drive and costs only $1099. Buyers can also look forward to a free air ticket to neighbouring holiday destinations like Bangkok and Phuket, while stocks last of course.

The Lenovo Y410 is available at a discount for the early few, at $1399 instead of $1599. This will net you a 14.1-inch notebook with a Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 120GB SATA hard drive and Intel's GMA X3100. Microsoft's Windows Vista Home Premium is also included, though there's a rather short 1-year regional carry-in warranty.

The ThinkPad brand still has its place among business users and the ultra portable X61 continues its fine tradition. Powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor, this notebook comes pre-installed with Windows Vista Business and up to 1GB of DDR2 RAM. A 3-year international warranty should ease your fears if at all this $3099 notebook should give up on you, while there's also 6 months insurance against accidental damage and theft.

To summarize what we had covered in detail, the two major offers for Lenovo notebooks at Sitex 2007, the Y410 and the G400.
