Singapore Comic Con 2019 has begun, and will run from 7-8 December, 2019! The event is packed with tons of things to do and see - including a couple of fantastically sculpted comicbook statues.

With any comicbook convention, you're bound to see a couple of great cosplayers. Here, there were nothing but great cosplayers - from Imperial Stormtroopers and Umbrella Corps soldiers to Spider-Men and a smattering of Harley Quinns. My personal favourite was a really well done Skeksis and Podling from Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Of course, there were a bunch of Mandalorians here too. Star Wars has a big presence in SGCC 2019, with the 501st Legion making an appearance and SaberMach selling some cool-looking lightsabers - if you care to part with S$100 (or more) that is.

Who doesn't love Legos? You can find Lego sets of all shapes and sizes at SGCC 2019 - from Overwatch sets to a big ol' Millenium Falcon. They even have a bunch of Lego robots for the little ones to play with.

If you're a fan of boardgames, card games and tabletop games - you're going to be pretty happy with SGCC 2019. There were a whole bunch of passionate fans playing games based on Star Wars, Game of Thrones and more!

If you're like me, and tend to walk away from conventions with a whole bunch of art and posters - your wallet is in for a bad time. There's so much merchandise for sale here, with plenty of well-known artists signing and selling prints.

Western comicbook fans have a lot to look forward to at SGCC 2019. Well-known comic writers and artists like Andy Kubert (Flashpoint), Greg Capullo (Batman), Jock (The Batman Who Laughs) and Donny Cates (Venom) were all present, signing comics and giving talks on stage. Greg Capullo in particular was the nicest guy we had the pleasure of interviewing - check back soon for more on that!

Singapore Pro Wrestling (SPW) will be making an appearance this weekend, putting on a show for anyone passing by. SPW will be having showcase matches on Sunday at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. It seems slightly out of place at a comic convention - but if you're into wrestling, more power to you!
PVP Esports is also happening at SGCC 2019, with multiple competitions featuring games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Dota 2. Topson from Team OG will also be at the convention, and fans can play against him if they dare.
That's all from us - but make no mistake, SGCC is worth the trip this year! There's a little something for everyone.
