Quick Analysis
Value Plans tier: It's clearly evident that M1 offers the best plan for S$30 in terms of data and the plan's other features.
Basic Plans tier: Singtel's XO 48 plan had a good offer while in the pre-order phase. However, plan offers have changed since and StarHub's S$50 base plan is the best overall offer with the most amount of data offered. Not to mention, there's free Caller ID and international roaming fee. So while Singtel's XO 48 still appears cheaper, StarHub has a better proposition in this tier. M1 can match-up in cost, but not quite-so where value is concerned.
Mid-tier Plans: It gets very tricky here as cost of ownership over two years is the same - on face value. M1 offers a nice big 42GB data plan for the month, whereas the competitors offer 40GB + free weekend data. So the net amount of data you can consume per month on Singtel and StarHub is higher. Singtel's XO 78 plan throws in CAST Entertainment Plus and even HBO Go subscriptions. Meanwhile, StarHub's S$75 plan counters that with free Caller ID and international roaming fee. In essence, it's a tie between Singtel and StarHub and you can't go wrong with either.
High-tier Plans: For the same reasons as above, Singtel and StarHub come up equally recommended. Singtel's Combo 6 comes out the cheapest and is the ideal option if a modest amount of data is sufficient, but you prefer unlimited talk time.
Premium Plan tier: For those who need the maximum number of benefits, and more than 100GB of data, StarHub's S$238 plan has the best set of perks, in addition to a yearly S$500 handset voucher.
