Back at IFA 2018, MSI announced the Prestige P65 Creator, an all-white business notebook targeted at creative professionals. If it looks familiar to you, that's because it's basically the GS65 Stealth Thin dressed up in white. It does however come with a Creator Software Pack, which includes editing software such as MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Plus 2018, SamplitudeMusic Studio 2017 and Painter Essentials.
The notebook comes in a slick-looking box with a wood-like veneer, which contributes to the overall more polished appearance of the notebook. The white and silver finish is also definitely a lot more elegant, and it appears better suited to the creative types MSI is going after.
The P65 Creator is powered by an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q, and a 512GB SSD. Its 15.6-inch display has the same narrow 4.9mm-thick bezels, while the IPS-type panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and close to 100 per cent coverage of the sRGB color space. It also has an 82Wh battery, which is good for over 9 hours of use, according to MSI.
The keyboard has just single-color white backlighting, but the Windows Precision Touchpad is now equipped with a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello biometric authentication. The lettering is unchanged from the GS65 Stealth Thin though, and it'd have been nice to see a font type that had less of a gaming-oriented feel to it.
The display hinge on the P65 Creator has a range of almost 180 degrees, which is pretty useful for collaborative purposes or when you need to gather around the laptop.
The keyboard on the notebook feels similar to the one on the GS65 Stealth Thin. It's pretty nice to type on considering how thin the laptop is, something you'll appreciate if you're going to be spending long hours working on the P65 Creator.
Despite the white and silver detailing, there are still gold accents at the hinge and vents at the sides. You can also see here the connectors on right of the notebook, including one USB 3.1 (Gen 1) Type-A, one Thunderbolt 3, one Mini DisplayPort, and one HDMI output.
The Gigabit Ethernet jack, two more USB 3.1 (Gen 1) Type-A, and dedicated headphone and microphone ports are located on the left of the laptop.
The P65 Creator is extremely slim and light, measuring just 17.9mm thick and weighing 1.88kg. If the GS65 Stealth Thin is anything to go by, battery life should be pretty good as well. The MSI P65 Creator will be available in mid-December at S$3,699. A model with a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB will cost S$2,999.
