Lenovo continues to flesh out its Moto Mod ecosystem, and the new Livermorium Slider Keyboard addresses one of the glaring weaknesses of modern smartphones. It comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, and lets you tilt the screen by up to 60 degrees. It originally started out as an Indiegogo project, but you'll be able to buy one soon for US$99.
The Moto Gamepad adds dual control sticks, a D-pad, and four tactile buttons to turn your phone into a game controller of sorts. It also comes with a built-in 1,035mAh battery, so it has its own power source and won't drain your phone's battery. You can check out compatible games in the Moto Game Explorer app.
As with the recent crop of gaming-oriented products, the Moto Gamepad bears Lenovo's Legion branding.
The Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa is a US$149.99 add-on that effectively turns your phone into a portable Echo speaker. If you've already been sucked into Alexa's ecosystem and own a Moto Z smartphone, this might interest you.
The Moto 360 camera captures 360-degree images and video right on your phone, and you can even live stream the moment if you want. In addition, it's capable of recording 4K video with 3D sound for more immersive content. Alternatively, you can use it to capture wide-angle photos with its wide 150-degree field of view.
You can edit photos right on your phone as well. After you're done, you can easily share content directly to social media or upload it to Google Photos.
Polaroid fans will appreciate the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer, which turns your Moto Z smartphone into a Polaroid camera. It spits out instant photos just like the real thing, and you'll be able to print older pictures from your photo library as well.
The camera produces 2x3-inch prints and uses ZINK Zero-Ink Paper that doesn't require any ink, so you don't have to worry about running out.
The JBL SoundBoost 2 speaker is now available in a new blue color. It pumps out loud tunes in stereo, and comes with an integrated kickstand so you can stand it up when it's playing. It is powered by a 10-hour battery, so the music will go on for quite a while.
Finally, Lenovo also announced the Vital Moto Mod, a health-focused mod that measures heart rate, respiratory rate, Pulse Ox, core body temperature, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure from just your finger. We didn't manage to get a shot of the mod, but it'll be available in the US sometime in April for a hefty US$395, making it the most expensive Moto Mod to date.
