The Sony Xperia Touch is more than just a projector for your Android smartphone – and we witnessed how it can be fun for everyone.

The Sony Xperia Touch interactive projector can convert any flat surface into a 23-inch HD “touchscreen”, with a maximum display size of 80-inches.

It uses a proprietary Silicon X-tal Reflective Display technology, and it reads physical touches with its built-in 60fps camera and IR light detection. This is the projection in a brightly-lit room.

Your projected Android device can be displayed either in horizontal or vertical orientation by using ultrashort-throw projection.

With its access to apps on the Google Play store, this projector allows the user to utilize any flat surface in their homes, such as interacting with family and friends through social media apps or doing daily necessities like ordering groceries and taking down quick notes.

You can connect to other devices via a USB-C port, or the HDMI Type-D connector for projecting your laptop’s content to the wall. However, the latter wouldn’t allow you to interact with the projection.

Besides using it with its built-in Android 7.0 OS, you can screen-mirror your favorite Android phones to the Xperia Touch.

The device also has a 13-megapixel camera for video calls, with the microphone located near the bottom. It also works with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Miracast, and Bluetooth 4.2 with NFC support. There’s 32GB storage with 3GB RAM onboard.
The Sony Xperia Touch interactive projector has an official retail price of S$2,298, and it’s exclusively available in two places within Singapore – the Sony store at Changi Airport Terminal 3, and its flagship outlet at 313@Somerset.
