The new Surface Pro is powered by Intel's newest seventh generation Core processor and features a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a display resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 pixels.


The 12.3-inch PixelSense display is gorgeous. It is incredibly crisp and projects vibrant but natural-looking colors. Its high pixel density count of 267 pixels per inch means individual pixels are invisible to the naked eye.

The Surface Pro is just 8.5mm thick and weighs 784g. It comes with a full-size USB 3.0 port, a mini-DisplayPort, and a microSDXC card reader.

The position of the magnetic Surface Connect port is unchanged, which means you can use your older Type Cover keyboards (as old as Surface Pro 3) with the new Surface Pro.

The redesigned hinge gives a lot more flexibility in how users can position and prop their Surface Pro notebooks.


Microsoft also announced new Surface Pro Signature Type Cover keyboards which are constructed with luxurious Alcantara. The keys have an impressive 1.3mm of travel, LED backlight, and comes in three colors: Platinum, Burgundy, and Cobalt Blue. If you prefer something more discreet, there's the regular Surface Pro Type Cover that comes in black. Here it is next to the Platinum Surface Pro Signature Type Cover. The Surface Pro Type Cover is S$199, while the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover is S$249.

The Surface Pen has been improved and now offers a incredibly 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. It can also be used in a tilted position, allowing users to recreate shading effects. The Surface Pen is sold separately and is priced at S$148.

The Surface Arc Mouse is a compact, stylish, and highly portable mouse designed to look good alongside the Surface Pro. It is priced at S$118 and comes in the same set of color options as the Type Cover and Surface Pen.
