ASUSTOR

The Asustor AS-606T is a 6-bay NAS for demanding users. Powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor, it supports native AES 256-bit encryption and can be configured to run in various RAID modes (0, 1, 5, 6, and 10). Apps for iOS and Android makes it easy for users to access their drives' content on their smartphones remotely. It is going for $979.

 

G-Drive

The G-Drive USB is a stylish portable external hard disk that comes in an aluminum chassis and supports Thunderbolt 3. It is available in 4TB ($530), 6TB ($593), 8TB ($719), 10TB ($854), 12TB ($953).

The G-RIAD is a dual-drive Thunderbolt 3 external storage system with replaceable drives. It can be configured to run in RAID 0, RAID 1, or JBOD. It is available in 8TB ($949), 12TB ($1,169), 16TB ($1,459), 20TB ($1,889), 24TB ($2,319).

 

LaCie

If you need a portable external drive for the wild outdoors, the LaCie Rugged Mini is worthy of your consideration. It has a protective bumper and it is splash, crush, and drop resistant. It can even be password protected for extra security. Available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, it is priced at $108 (U.P $149), $148 (U.P $199), and $218 (U.P $299) respectively.

The LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Drive is a stylish portable external HDD that is available in 1TB and 2TB, it is priced at $98 ($U.P $129) and $128 (U.P $179) respectively.

 

QNAP

The QNAP TS-251+ is two-bay NAS powered by an quad-core Intel Celeron processor. It features QNAP's newest QTS 4.2 operating system and can transcode Full-HD videos on the fly. It also supports DLNA, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Bluetooth, making it an ideal NAS for streaming videos. It is going for $599.

For users who need more storage, the QNAP TS-431P2 is four-bay NAS powered by a quad-core Annapurna Labs CPU. It also comes with two Gigabit LAN ports for link aggregation or failover. With supports for Bluetooth, DLNA, AirPlay and Chromecast, it is also a versatile media streamer. The barebones system is going for $649.

 

Samsung

The Samsung Portable SSD T5 is a compact, stylish, and fast portable external SSD. Available in 250GB ($129), 500GB ($249), 1TB ($499), and 2TB ($1,059). The 250GB and 500GB comes with a free JBL headphone and leather pouch, whereas the 1TB model gets a free leather pouch and a can of abalone, and finally the 2TB model comes with a free leather pouch and Samsung SL-M2070W printer.

The Samsung SSD 860 Pro features the company's new MJX controller and has improved endurance and 5-year long warranty. Available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities. Prices are as follows for the 2.5-inch form factor drive: 256GB ($169), 512GB ($299), 1TB ($599), and 2TB ($1,299). All drives will come with free vouchers.

Samsung's latest high-end 970 Pro and 970 Evo SSDs are available at CEE 2018. The 970 Evo is available in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities and are priced at $169, $309, $599, and $1,209 respectively.

The 970 Pro is available in 512GB and 1TB capacities and are priced at $499 and $849 respectively. Every purchase will come with a free 64GB memory card worth $69.

 

SanDisk

The SanDisk SSD Plus is one of the most affordable SSDs we found at the show. Available in 120GB ($53), 240GB ($89), 480GB ($179), and 960GB ($360) capacities.

If you need more performance, consider the SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD, which uses 3D NAND and provides sequential read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 530Mb/s respectively. Available in 250GB ($119), 500GB ($199), and 1TB ($399) capacities.

The SanDisk Extreme 500 Portable SSD is a speedy portable external storage drive that is up to 4 times faster than traditional portable hard disk drives. It can read and write at speeds of up to 440MB/s and 400MB/s respectively. Available in 1TB, it is priced at $479 (U.P $539).
