Motorola wants you to take a look at two new phones that won’t break the bank
Hello Moto!
Motorola has just announced the local availability of the Moto X4 and Moto G5S Plus smartphones in Singapore, as well as new additions to the Moto mods range for the Moto Z2.

The Moto X4 is a mid-range Android smartphone that comes in at S$599, and is available in two colors; Super Black and Sterling Blue. It has a glass and metal body with an aluminium frame, but the metal back actually has a glass overlay as well.
The Moto X4 has a 5.2” Full-HD LCD display, and is rated IP68 water and dust resistant. The phone supports Turbo Charging; Motorola says it can top up 6 hours’ worth of power in 15 minutes. The 3,000mAh battery is non-removable.
The Moto X4 features dual cameras on the back. One is a 12MP with a ‘normal’ focal length, and the other is a 8MP ultra wide-angle, with a dual LED flash. The front camera shoots at 16MP.
Yes, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, but you might not need it. One of the Moto X4’s key features is its ability to connect up to four Bluetooth audio devices at the same time.
The Moto X4 runs Android 7.1 Nougat (this is not the Android One version, unfortunately!) on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, with expandable storage that supports up to 2TB microSD cards.
The Moto G5S Plus comes in at S$499, S$100 less than the Moto X4. The phone comes in two colors, Lunar Gray and Blush Gold. It has an all-metal unibody chassis and 5.5” Full-HD LCD display.
The Moto G5S Plus’ dual 13MP cameras capture images with depth editing software for selective focus, and ship with a dual LED flash. The front camera shoots at 8MP with a wide angle lens.
Like the Moto X4, the G5S Plus comes with a 3,000mAh battery that supports Turbo Charging, which Motorola says can refill up to 6 hours of battery life in 15 minutes. The Moto G5S Plus runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. It supports microSD cards up to 128GB for expandable storage.
The Moto G5S Plus isn’t water resistant like the Moto X4, but Motorola says it comes with a water repellent nano-coating, so it should survive some minor splashes here and there. And yes, there is a headphone jack up top.
Also now available in Singapore is the Moto Gamepad for the Moto Z family, which will retail at S$149. The Gamepad adds dual control sticks, a d-pad, and four action buttons to play, with a built-in 1,035mAh battery that can power up to 8 hours of game time.
The Moto 360 Camera mod for the Moto Z family captures 4K 360° video and wide-angle photos with a super-wide 150° ultra wide-angle lens. It’s available now for S$399.
Also available now is a series of Moto style shell which enables wireless charging for the Moto Z family (wireless charging pad not included). There are a variety of styles to choose from, including this Floral Print. Yours for S$69.
