Thoughts of Fun

When Lenovo dropped us an invite filled with candy and promised us plenty of fun, we knew it was an event we couldn't miss. So armed with a camera and plenty of enthusiasm, we headed down by to Suntec City Convention Hall, in anticipation of a good time. Right from the start, Lenovo upped the ante with a carnival like atmosphere and mini-games to be played while at the same time, sharing their latest news on the products and services.

Of course, with so much hardware on display, we definitely tried our best to keep half our attention on the games while keeping the other half busy looking out new and delicious products that were mentioned. As such, we now present to you, Lenovo's latest and prettiest that sport Intel's Core i3, i5 and i7 processors!

The new 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Z460 starts from S$1599 and is aimed at the high end luxury consumers with its metallic looks and multimedia functions.

Also new and looking pretty is the Lenovo IdeaPad B460 that's aimed at the average consumer, and will be available from July 2010. No word on the pricing yet though.

If it looks familiar, it's because it's the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge - though not your usual 13-inch and 14-inch variant. It's a 15-inch model that will unfortunately, not be available in Singapore. Ah well.

You'd be hard pressed to find a monitor as pretty as this Lenovo L2461x, and then you'll have to work even harder to find one that actually has multi-touch capabilities, and all controls are touch based as well. No word on pricing or availability, but this is one gorgeous looking monitor as far as we're concerned.

Also on display were these AIOs (from left to right): the Lenovo C200 (available June 2010), the Lenovo IdeaCentre A700 (available July 2010), the Lenovo IdeaCentre B300 (available July 2010) and the Lenovo IdeaCentre B500 (currently available).

There were several other models showcased, but most were just refreshed editions of those we've already come to know. The above are some of the newer gems you can hopefully expect to find in our local market in due time.
