Kingston's Get Together with HardwareZone Members

The More We Get Together, Together...

HardwareZone and Kingston Presents...

Held on a rainy afternoon on the 30th October at the Mind Cafe inside the Funan DigitaLife Mall was the Hardware Zone and Kingston's Get Together event. Despite the dismal weather, plenty of HardwareZone members who had registered earlier, turned up for an afternoon of tech talk and the chance to ogle and win Kingston's latest products. Let's take a look!

With close to 70 attendees at the event, the previously roomy Mind Cafe was packed to the max. As some attendees described, "It's cozy!"

Plenty of goodie bags worth over S$50 each (including a Bluetooth headset) for our attendees!

First up is Vincent Chang, Senior Tech Writer for HardwareZone, giving a talk on PC hardware trends.

Vijay Anand, Editor for Hardware Zone, followed up his talk with another on SSDs and how to buy one.

After the talks, attendees had a 30-minute break to grab some refreshments and to also try out their hands at the really hard Kingston Memory game. Highest scoring winners get their hands on some Kingston loot! p.s. The kid on the far left? She's an expert, we think :)

If you're not having snacks or trying out the game, then the best option would be to visit the demo systems set up by HardwareZone showcasing just how speedy a system is using an SSD.

Wrapping things up before we conducted our lucky draw is Mr Kai Wang, Public Relation Specialist from Kingston giving a talk on their product lineup.

Here's our lucky winner of the Kingston SSDnow V 30GB, Mr Ng Hong Ye receiving his prize from Mr Marcus Wong, Convergent Systems.

Another lucky winner, Mr Teo Choon Poh, being presented with Kingston's HyperX 4GB DDR3-1600 RAM from Ms Carmen Lee, Convergent Systems.

Lastly, our winners from Kingston's Challenge Your Memory game for an 8GB SDHC Kingston memory card posing with Mr Kai Wang.
