Memory World's Booth

If you are thinking of getting a portable media player or perhaps a NAS, you should pay Memory World a visit, for they carry brands such as Archos, QNAP and Synology.

The Archos 9 and 5 were on show. Both are tablet machines, but the Archos 9 is a proper tablet PC powered by an Intel Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and a 60GB HDD. Yours for $999. The Archos 5, on the other hand, runs on Android and is relatively cheaper. The 32GB version is $669, but if you want more storage the 500GB version will set you back $889.

The Synology DS710+ is a high performance, scalable 2-bay NAS server for SMB users. The enclosure alone is $808.

A variety of QNAP NAS servers are on show. The 2-bay TS-259 PRO, for example, is going for $939, while the 8-bay TS-859 PRO costs $2,793.

Looking for a multimedia player? The M6600N from Dvico plays a wide variety of file formats and even has a built-in wireless module. Buy now for $699 and get a free 1TB HDD.
