Samsung's Booth Part 1

Brace yourselves, everyone. Because like always, Samsung will be one of the biggest booths at IT Show, and there'll be loads of bargain items waiting for you.

The Samsung ST550 is popular for one simple reason - a dual LCD screen for self-portrait. That, and the fact that this 12-megapixel camera comes with free gifts such as two 8GB microSD cards and an extra battery, all for $549.

The new kid on the block, the Samsung PL150, also has two LCD screens. Sporting a 12.4-megapixel sensor and a 27mm wide 5x optical zoom lens, the PL150 is price at $399, with an 8GB and 4GB microSD card bundled within.

Making its first appearance in Singapore is the Samsung NX10, the Korean chaebol's first camera with interchangeable lens using the APS-C CMOS sensor. Compact in nature thanks to its mirrorless system, the NX10 is available with an 18-55mm lens or 30mm lens at $1099 and $1199 respectively.

HD video recording on a compact device, such as the Samsung U10, will be something to look out for. If it's 1080p recording capability and YouTube direct upload isn't enough to entice you, maybe its $329 pricing will.

A camcorder with 52x optical zoom and longer battery life, as touted by Samsung. That's what the Samsung F40 is, and besides the above mentioned features, you'll also get a bunch of freebies including an 8GB and 4GB SD card with an extra lithium battery.

Even mobile phones are cutting into the imaging scene, such as the Samsung Pixon12 which got our thumbs up as the best camera phone in our HWM / HardwareZone.com Tech Awards 2010. Awards aside, this 12-megapixel camera phone is available for $799 (usual price $898).

If you have a limited budget to set up your own home office, the Samsung ML-1640 is pretty reasonably priced at $88 (usual price $128). This printer, capable of 16ppm (mono) print speeds, also comes with a 3-years carry-in warranty.
