 Seagate and Maxtor have combined forces to push their line of portable hard drives. Of course, they are both the same company.

 This Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme is a 3.5-inch portable HDD with USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and eSATA. It comes in sizes of 500GB, 1TB and 1.5TB, costing $159, $229 and $259 respectively.

 The Maxtor Basics 2.5-inch external HDD has only USB 2.0 connectivity. As an early bird special, you can get the 250GB version at only $89 compared to the usual $109. Cash and carry only (no NETS or credit cards). Other early bird offers include the 320GB going for $109 while the 500GB costs $169.

 The Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini is only $99 for 250GB. Cash and carry only for this USB 2.0, 2.5-inch external HDD. For the early birds (first 200 sets), this price is reduced further to $89.

 This is the 3.5-inch version of the Maxtor Basics, which uses USB 2.0. A 500GB version costs only $109 while the 1TB is $169.

 The Seagate FreeAgent Go costs $109 for a 250GB HDD, with the 320GB at $129 and $189 for the 500GB version. You can also get a dock and case for it at $29, though Seagate will give you a free pouch worth $19.90 with every purchase.
