LG Gram 14Z90N
LG gram is renowned for its ultra-lightweight build and long battery life, but these traits used to set you back at least S$2k. During the pre Black Friday period, Harvey Norman is pushing the price down to just S$1,699 and once you add it to the cart, the price is slashed by a further S$120. This brings the price down to just S$1,579 for the 10th-gen Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. Not to forget, the LG Gram 14Z90 is the latest Gram model for 2020, weighs just 999 grams and comes with all the standard ports you'll ever need, including Thunderbolt 3 support that allows you to expand out to many more possibilities, like hooking up with this Seagate Firecuda Gaming Dock that accords you many more connectivity ports and built-in storage.

Apple MacBook Air 2020 (Intel)
If for some reason you're not ready to jump on to Apple's newer M1-powered MacBook Air notebooks, Harvey Norman's offering you a discount off the Intel version that released earlier this year. Specced with an Intel 10th-gen Core i5 processors with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage, this model used to retail for S$1,899 and is normally offered at S$,1769. For the pre Black Friday period, you get to save 4% more and that brings the final price down to just S$1,698.
As reviewed by us earlier this year, it's a pretty good quad-core notebook for Apple fans who still need to run Windows on Bootcamp or through Parallels Desktop - both of which aren't possible on the newer M1-powered notebooks.
ASUS ZenBook 14 (UM433)
If you are looking for an affordable everyday general computing notebook, the 14-inch ASUS ZenBook 14 UM433 represents remarkable value. It might not be the fastest with a previous generation AMD Ryzen R7-3700U but performance is still quite decent and it’s certainly more than usable for most everyday workloads. Furthermore, it comes with a generous 1TB SSD storage and has AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 integrated graphics that is quite a bit faster than what most other notebooks can offer without discrete graphics. Launched for S$1,398 earlier this year, with Harvey Norman's pre Black Friday offer that takes 8% off the sale price, you can get this for just S$1,194.
