HWZ Deal Alert (The Big Sales Edition): 13th Nov 2015

Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)

This deal alert is a little special, because we managed to find something better than deals. That’s right - sales with many deals, at good prices and offers. They don’t last long, so check them out while they’re still around:

Big Fall Sale at gog.com

If you are familiar with Steam's seasonal games sales, you’ll be pleased to learn that GOG.com has their own autumn sale for games. The deals are pretty good too, with many classics and known titles – such as the Theme Hospital and Agarest JPRG series – going for 75% to 80% off their retail price. You will also unlock free games when you spend a certain amount on other discounted titles. Move fast – the sale period ends in two days, on 15 November 2015, 1.59 p.m. GMT +0 (that’s 9.59 p.m. for us).

Lazada’s Jumbo Electronics Sale

Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Speakers with Bluetooth

Around this time last month, Lazada offered the same item for sale at an almost similar price. So why are we highlighting it again? That’s because these Bluetooth-enabled Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Speakers are part of an even bigger sale. From 12 November to 9 December 2015, the e-shopping site will hold a Jumbo Electronics Sale.

In other words, besides finding a nice pair of Harman Kardon speakers going at a 78% discount (S$109, with usual price at S$499), you can also find Fujifilm Instax cameras at 44% off (at S$89), and many others. Click here to see the sale in its entirety.

ThinkGeek’s Everything On Sale

One of the best things to happen for sci-fi fans here was ThinkGeek offering to ship their goods to Singapore. Now, there’s a clearance sale!

We felt it was worth a mention not only because it’s up to 40% - 50% off on many items, but also because a ridiculous number of them are Star Wars-related merchandise. For example, this Darth Vader mug changes designs based on the temperature of the liquid within is going for just US$9.59 (usual price US12). It’s a pretty good place to get simple, interesting gifts for people you work with. While the clearance sale has an indefinite timeline, the items on it always changes, so don’t fret if Star Wars isn’t your thing.

Besides typical office items, ThinkGeek is also good for finding licensed collectibles from your favorite franchise. We also found a Batman utility belt prop replica from DC Collectibles, going at US$149.99. While that sounds pricey, you'll have to know that the original goes for US$299.99 - that's a 50% off on a legit collectible. As an added bonus, the utility belt is also functional, with eight pounches made from faux-leather vinyl, and a met gold-tone base metal belt buckle

We know that Black Friday is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean you should avoid early deals like these. So, #BBBMTL!
