HWZ Deal Alert: 20th November 2015

Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)

One more week.

One more week until Black Friday, when the deals rain from the sky like water. Fret not though, some retailers have already begun the Black Friday onslaught early and we're here to help you scope out the best deals you can get!

 Amazon Countdown to Black Friday

We hope you read our article yesterday about how to enable two-factor authentication for your account, because we foresee a lot of shopping on Amazon for everybody. First off, if you love the 90s sitcom Friends, you owe it to yourself to pick up on Blu-Ray. The complete series is on sale right now on Amazon, until 4pm. That alone would make Amazon have an entry in today's Deal Alert but Amazon has also begun its new Lightning deals promotions in honor of Black Friday.

From now till Black Friday, the retailer is offering tons of limited time offers, with new offers constantly popping up. While Amazon does show what's coming up next, it only does so only for a few items in advance, so if you don't see what you want, keep checking in a few hours down the road.

Play Arts Kai Cloud Strife (Advent Children)

If you're a gamer, Cloud Strife needs no introduction. We speak from experience when we say that if you can only have one Cloud figure, you'll definitely want his Play Arts Kai one. The original has been sold out for months and the figure has consistently been sold for upwards of $250 on Ebay. If you don't want to pay those exorbitant figures, this is probably your last chance to get the figure at its original price. True, it won't ship till next year, but it's a small price to pay unless you really, really need it right now. It's on pre-order now at Hobby Link Japan for 10,200 yen (~$118).

Sandisk Ultra II 960GB SSD

If you're on the hunt for a cheap, spacious SSD, there's no better offer right now than the SanDisk Ultra II 960GB SSD. Since it's 2.5-inch and SATA III, you can even use it for a PS4's internal storage! Amazon has the SSD for an incredible US$219.99 (~$310) with free shipping to Singapore.

Motorola Moto 360 Smartwatch

Motorola's Moto 360 Smartwatch (Black Leather) is going for only $199 and you can use Shopback on top of that to lower the price even more. If you've never heard of ShopBack, it's a Singaporean company that offers you cashback (up to 12% for items on Lazada) for purchases you make through their website. Once you purchase something and it's recognized on your ShopBack account, you can then withdraw the cash (provided you've amassed at least $10 in savings) to your bank account.

For the electronic items, Shopback offers a 5% rebate, which means if you purchase the Moto 360 through their referral link, you earn back $9.95, on top of the sale price on Lazada. Not a bad deal we think, considering we rated the Moto 360 quite highly in our smartwatch shootout.

Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1TB External HDD

If you prefer your storage to be external, Lazada also has the WD My Passport Ultra 1TB External HDD on sale for $69. It might not be the best external HDD (as we found out in our portable HDD shootout) but if you're just looking for cheap, external storage from a reliable manufacturer, you could do much, much worse. Besides, since it's on Lazada, you can use ShopBack and get $3.45 back. It might not seem like much, but it all adds up in the end.

Fallout 4 Pipboy Edition

Yes, it's another Fallout 4 deal! If you've always wanted to get the Fallout 4 Pipboy Edition but were to slow too pre-order before they sold out, here's your chance to get one locally. Qisahn is selling both the PS4 and PC versions of the ultra limited edition for $229. It's a far cry from the US$119.99 (~$169) they originally sold for in the US, but considering they're going for more than what Qisahn is asking for on Ebay, it's a great deal!

We're afraid we've fun out of decent deals this week but keep an eye open, you never know what might pop up over the weekend. Till then, #BBBMTL!
