HWZ Deal Alert: 15th January 2016

Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)

Now that it's Friday, it's finally time to unwind and let all the stress you've accumulated evaporate. To that effect, this Friday's Deal Alert is dedicated to items that make you relax and have fun.

Shopping is always a great relaxation technique and with our deals, you get to save money on top of that too! It's a win-win situation!

Guitar Hero Live

Guitar Hero's back on current generation consoles and what a return it is. Featuring a brand new guitar controller and newly revamped gameplay, the series' return is a great example of how awesome music games can be. Also, with GHTV, paid DLC is a thing of the past. New songs are constantly being added to the mode and best of all, you don't need to pay a single cent to play them, unlike in past installments of the series. Yup, you heard that right. Guitar Hero Live has FREE DLC songs and the list is constantly being updated and added to. The best news is that for today only, Amazon's selling all versions of the game with a single guitar for only US$49.99 and the double pack with two Guitar controllers for $89.99!

Various Funko Pops (Buy One Get One 50% off)

There are only two types of people in the world. Those who think Funko Pop! bobble-heads/ figures are awesome and those who hate them. If you love them, Gamestop is having a sale where you get one for 50% off with every Funko Pop! purchase. You can choose from a wide variety (including Gamestop exclusive ones), even the bigger sized Rides variant, like the awesome Turtle Van in the image above.

Thinkgeek Winter Clearance Sale

If you're a geek (or know somebody who is), Thinkgeek's Winter Clearance sale is an awesome place to pick up geeky stuff on the cheap. We've only casually browsed the selection and already have a picked up a few items we'd want to get! Sure, items like the Shark Plush Slippers (above) aren't tech-based, but we're a sucker for cute, kitschy stuff too here at HWZ. However, if you do want something cool to go with your geek cred, the RFID S.H.I.E.L.D. wallet is an awesome pick, for only US$14.99.

Variable Action D-Spec Star Wars AT-AT

The Empire's AT-AT are incredibly scary, walking towers of destruction that can murder everything in their path. The Variable Action D-Spec Star Wars AT-AT on the other hand are much smaller, though probably just as deadly...to ants. At just 12cm tall, it's perfect to put on your desk or shelf and even comes with three tiny Stormtroopers that can fit inside it! It's up for pre-order now at US$72.68, with an expected release in July.

Nintendo Wii Fit U Bundle with Balance Board & Fit Meter

If you're into fitness, want a cheap, entertaining way to measure your activity and have a Nintendo Wii U gathering dust, the Wii Fit U bundle is a great deal. It comes with everything you need to get up and running (Balance Board, Wii Fit U disc and Fit Meter) so you can start measuring and exercising as soon as you get it! At only US$19.99 it's a pretty good deal, especially considering the bundle was US$89.99 when it originally released in 2014.

We're afraid we've fun out of decent deals this week but keep an eye open, you never know what might pop up next week. We'll be back on Monday with another edition so come back then for more deals! Till then, #BBBMTL!
