HWZ Deal Alert: 02 August 2019

Got deal, got talk! GDGT! =)

According to self-improvement guru James Clear, who wrote, “Your outcomes are a lagging measure of your habits. Your net worth is a lagging measure of your financial habits. Your knowledge is a lagging measure of your learning habits. Your clutter is a lagging measure of your cleaning habits….”

You get what you repeat.

TGIF! With the weekends just around the corner, that means it is time for weekend game sales over at Steam. With EVO (Evolution Championship Series) taking place this weekend, we have ourselves some fantastic fighting games on offer.

Naturally, the highlight here has to be Street Fighter V Arcade Edition going at S$27.50. Priced at 50% of its original, this is the best deal you will find for Street Fighter V Arcade Edition.

Sniper Elite 4

The Humble Bundle Store has evolved from packaging games as bundles to an actual storefront, all in the name of charity of course.

Humble Bundle Store has a smattering of offerings this weekend. If you are looking for some gratuitous action with X-Ray attacks, you might want to snipe the deal on Sniper Elite 4.

Available for S$30.95 after converting it from USD, this is still cheaper than Steam which is selling it for S$55.

War for the Overworld

The Good Old Games (GOG) store sounds just like it is named. They primarily sell classic games from the 90s. That is not to say that they do not sell more modern games.

In fact, they are the premier place to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 as it GOG is a subsidiary of CD Projekt which are the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 as well as the Witcher video game series.

GOG has some great game deals that you might not find elsewhere, and today, our highlight is War for the Overworld. This game is the spiritual successor to Dungeon Keeper for those who remember that title. With the sale from GOG, War for the Overworld is available at S$10.31 after exchange rates compared to S$26 on Steam.
