Other products that caught our attention included a keyboard with a built-in smart card reader for enterprises that uses smart cards for security purposes, a storage server, a 3-in-1 NAS docking station and the much talked about HP iPAQ rx5000 Travel Companion.

Alright, so we know HP makes keyboards. But this is no ordinary keyboard. This plain keyboard actually comes with a smart card reader.

With an integrated smart card reader, SMBs and large enterprises can easily implement secured desktop systems which requires users to provide a valid smart card, on top of the regular username/password, before accessing their PC.

The HP StorageWorks 400 All-in-One storage system is a slim 1U rackmount server that comes with a total of 1TB of hot pluggable SATA drives. The server features an Intel Pentium D 3.0GHz processor, a 4-port RAID controller capable of RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 arrays and up to 4GB of memory. It runs Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 (Standard Edition).

5000 Travel Companion is yet another PDA equipped with GPS navigation. It comes with a 3.5-inch touch screen and an optional car-mount accessory and car charger. Built on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, the rx5000 features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity that lets users stay connected to the Internet. Business travelers will find the GPS and connectivity features useful, while its support for music and video playback will offer the user the occasional entertainment on-the-go. Integrated Wi-Fi is only available on the rx5900.

The HP 3-in-1 NAS Docking Station is a multi-purpose add-on which serves as a docking station for the notebook (shown here docked with the tc4400 Tablet PC), a NAS (Network Atttached Storage) and a print server. It allows notebook users to perform automated and secured backups as long as there's network connectivity. It is also easily shared and data is encrypted for security purposes, and also protected from virus attacks.
