The new HP LaserJet P2015 printer series replaces the LaserJet 1320 series. Built for small workgroups or single users, the P2015 is built for those requiring low-mid levels of printing and is tailored for SMBs looking for a compact and affordable monochrome printing solution. The LaserJet P2015 starts at US$329, with options for network or duplex printing.

The HP LaserJet P3005 series replaces the LaserJet 2420/2430 series. It offers more memory (80MB standard and upgradable to 320MB), boasts printing speeds of up to 35ppm and twice the paper input capacity as compared to the LaserJet 2420/2430 series. Prices start from US$649 and there are options for duplex and/or network printing.

HP Universal Printer Driver

In addition to new printers, HP also unveiled their new HP Universal Print Driver series version 3.0. The universal print driver basically eliminates the need for IT staff to maintain individual printer drivers as this single piece of driver software will be compatible with new HP LaserJet printers and MFPs. According to HP, the universal printer driver software will work with printers introduced as far back as five years ago. The driver is available at www.hp.com/go/universalprintdriver .


New LCD Monitors

Besides the new LP3065, which was shown earlier with the xw4400 workstation, HP also launched two other monitors, namely the L2045w and LP1965. The L2045w is a 20-inch widescreen LCD monitor with a maximum resolution of 1680x1050. It has a fast 5ms response time and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The L2045w is yours at a standard retail price of US$339. The other monitor in the line-up was a regular 19-inch LCD monitor shown below.

HP also introduced the LP1965 19-inch LCD monitor created to complement HP's latest range of busines PCs. It supports resolutions up to 1280x1024 and its response time is at a speedy 6ms (GTG).
