HoYo Fest 2024 in pictures: One of the biggest gaming festivals is back

For those not in the know, HoYo Fest is Hoyoverse's annual love letter to its gaming fanbase that includes players from franchises like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.

This year's HoYo Fest in Singapore takes place at Suntec City from now until 18 August, 2024.

HoYo Fest 2024 is also a great time for fans to collect free (and exclusive) merchandises. Prepare to queue though. This photo was taken at 10am and on a week day. The queue lengths on the weekend might be quite unthinkable.

At the venue, there are different stations that cater to each of the main Hoyoverse games. These stations are where you can collect event-exclusive merchandises for free by completing certain tasks; some are as simple as showing your in-game ID, for instance.

Here's a close-up look at what you can pick up at the Honkai: Star Rail station. Be prepared to queue for a long time for it though!

Different game stations will have different "tasks" that you have to complete. Over at the Zenless Zone Zero station, for example, you'll have to complete a demo of the game to earn a reward.

There are also great opportunities at HoYo Fest for you to take photos with popular in-game characters and/or mascots.

Not forgetting there are also stage activities where lucky winners (and players) can stand to bring home very nice, very cool, and very exclusive, prizes such as limited edition figurines from games like Genshin Impact.

I'd recommend you first make a beeline towards the merchandise stall first, where event-exclusive items are on sale and could get sold out very quickly.

The crowd was already pretty big when this photo was taken at around 10:30am on the first day (Monday). Expect to the waiting time and queues to be longer on Friday and over the weekend.
