The new Apple Watch Series 4 may look a lot like its predecessors, but it's been completely re-engineered with a 30 percent larger display, a new haptic digital crown, and new 40mm and 44mm case sizes. It also comes in a gorgeous new Gold Stainless color that just so happens to perfectly match the new Gold iPhone XS and XS Max.

The Apple Watch Series 4 also includes a new watch face that allows for up to eight complications simultaneously. The 30 percent larger display allows you to show more information without the display looking cluttered. The bezels at the side of the display are also thinner.

The case may be larger, but the watch looks about the same on my wrist as the old 42mm case - only the display looks noticeable bigger. Despite the larger case sizes, the Series 4 watch is compatible with all previous Watch bands.

The edge-to-edge OLED display is fantastic for displaying pictures. Even on the small 44mm display, details look sharp and colors are vibrant.

The digital crown has been completely re-engineered and now has haptic feedback whenever you scroll. The microphone has also been moved to the opposite side from the speakers to reduce echo and feedback. The digital crown also includes a new electro heart rate sensor that can take accurate FDA-approved electrocardiograms (ECGs).
The Apple Watch Series 4 will be available in GPS and GPS + Cellular models. Prices start at S$599 for the former and S$749 for the latter. There will be three aluminum finishes - silver, gold, and space grey - and three stainless steel finishes - silver, space black, and gold. Pre-orders begin 14th September, with availability commencing on 21st September.
