Epson's New Projectors: World's Slimmest 3LCD Projector Takes Center Stage
Epson Launches World's Slimmest EB-1700 Series and High-powered G-5000 Series
3LCD Tech Going into Slim & Powerful Projectors
In a Project Runway-inspired launch event held at the Luxe Art Musuem just yesterday, Epson literally shined the spotlight on its newest series of business projectors. HardwareZone.com was there at the 'Epson Projector Runway' to witness the projectors took the stage. Here are some highlights.
The 3LCD EB-1700 series come in four models: EB-1750 (XGA resolution), EB-1760W, EB-1770W, and EB-1775W (WXGA resolution). Each weighs about 1.7 kg, with a chassis about 44 mm in height. Other features include brightness of up to 3,000 lumens, automatic keystone correction, 5-second startup time, and one-button screen fit. They would be available from 20th January 2011. Prices range from S$1,599 to S$2,149.
Aimed at corporate, higher education and government sectors, the 3LCD-based EB-G5000 series consists of three models: EB-G5650W, EB-G5750WU, and EB-G5950. The EB-G5650W has a resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXGA), the EB-G5750WU 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA), and the EB-G5950 1024 x 768 (XGA). Other features include HDMI outputs, 60 frames per second with 1080/24 processing (EB-G5750WU only), split screen function, WiFi, and vertical and horizontal lens shift. All three would be available from 20th January 2011. Prices range from S$3,999 to S$6,999.
Several other new business projectors and peripherals were launched at the same time. They include: Epson S10/X10/W10 series of entry-level business projectors; Epson EB-95/96W/905/915W/925 series of projectors with connectivity options targeted at schools and boardrooms; Epson EH-455Wi ultra-short throw projector that allows vertical projection of an interactive surface onto a desktop; Epson ELPIU01 interactive pen and infrared receiver unit; and Epson ELPDC06/ELPDC11 document cameras.
