Biostar's Booth

Biostar has a wide array of GeForce 8 series mid-range cards to suit almost anyone, but they do get slightly confusing. The V8602GT51 shown here is the only one with a custom cooler. It is a GeForce 8600 GT with 512MB GDDR2 memory at 540MHz core/667MHz memory speeds. This model has one DVI, D-SUB and TV-out ports.

Now the VR8602GT21 on the other hand, has a very generic looking design. This is also a GeForce 8600 GT card, but comes with only 256MB GDDR2 memory. What's interesting is that while the core clock speed remains at 540MHz, the memory clock is boosted to 800MHz.

Another GeForce 8600 GT model from biostar that looks no different from the VR8602GT21 above. The VR8603GT21 comes with 256MB GDDR3 memory instead and operates at 540MHz core/1400MHz memory clock speeds.

At the higher end of the scale, we have a GeForce 8600 GTS card (V8603TS51) that has the same generic style and cooling as the lower end GTs, but with dual DVI ports instead. This card sports 512MB GDDR3 memory with a 675MHz core/2000MHz memory clock speeds.

At the budget corner, Biostar shows a GeForce 8500 GT card with 128MB DDR3 memory running at 450MHz core/1400MHz memory speeds.

Biostar's range of new motherboards include the TX38D3-A7 Deluxe based on the new Intel X38 chipset for performance systems. The board will include full solid capacitors and Biostar's own Space-Pipe Technology heat-pipe cooling.

Before the X38 boards get into the market, the P35 will still be one of the top Intel chipsets and besides the triple PCIe x16 slots, Biostar's TP35D3-A7 Deluxe offers similar capabilities as the TX38D3-A7 such as 45nm processor support, DDR3 and FSB up to 1333MHz, eSATA and dual Gigabit LAN.

NVIDIA GeForce 7050 chipset motherboard for the AMD platform supports all AM2 processors, dual channel DDR2-800 memory support up to 8GB RAM. The board will have HDMI, TV out and D-sub connectors with an optional DVI adapter.

Biostar's Intel version of the GeForce 7050 chipset motherboard is slightly different from their AMD implementation, though you can see from the pictures that it is the same PCB layout for both versions. This board only has two DDR2-800 DIMM slots instead of four. The board will feature HDMI, D-Sub, DVI and S-Video output.
